Scared of putting my face in the water to swim!

I’ve been chatting to a friend who said to me, where have you been these last few days?

And I said, I’ve been to Portugal swimming.

And she said,

“I’ve always wanted to do a triathlon, but I don’t think I can do the swimming bit.

I’m so, so scared of putting my face in the water and of actually swimming.

I can do head up breast stroke, but I can’t do that front crawl.”

So I explained that over the six hours I coached the lady to swim competent front crawl, and she managed 50 meters in one go.

She was easily swimming 1000 meters at the end of those six hours.

If you would like to learn how to swim front crawl for triathlon, enter your first triathlon, one of ours that we’ve got coming up? Then get in touch and we can tell you all about our Learn to Swim front crawl courses.
